Blog Entry #2- Autumn a great time to fall in love into a vacation Deal

It's that time again. Summer's over, and students are back to school, the weather is starting to cool off and everyone's thoughts are turning into vacations. Well, maybe not everyone, but for some people, a fall getaway is more than a passing thought. They wouldn’t dream of going away any other time.“People are looking for good values and package deals that pack in fun, activities, sampling and still save money,” said Gary Knowles, a tourism marketing expert and former communications director for Wisconsin Tourism. Most travelers move with the herd, taking beach vacations during the summer and heading to the mountains when it snows. But a select few do it the other way around. It isn’t so much the fact that people taking these vacations think differently, but that they are richly rewarded for their decisions by getting better service, lower prices and usually, a superior vacation experience.

I feel this article is very true because people want to get away when the kids start school they already want to go somewhere.People usually take most of the vacations in the summer and the spring. Summer is for the beach vacations. The summer is usually to go on a family trip as a tourist. During the fall people are looking for deals on different vacations so they can go in the summer or spring.

Blog Entry #1 Tropical Storm Karl Hits Mexico's Yucatan

CANCUN, Mexico ― A strong Tropical Storm Karl made landfall on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula on Wednesday, hitting a sparsely populated stretch of Caribbean coast, while two Category 4 hurricanes roared further out in the Atlantic. Karl's maximum sustained winds reached 100 mph (160 kph), making it a Category 2 storm, according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami. There was a possibility it could become a major hurricane with winds of 110 mph (175 kph) or higher before making landfall, the center said. The Mexican government issued a hurricane warning for a 186-mile (300-kilometer) stretch of coast in Veracruz state, stretching northward from the city of the same name. On its predicted path, Karl could make landfall between the port of Veracruz and the oil hub of Poza Rica. About 80,000 people have had their homes damaged and nine people have been killed in flooding.

I feel very sad for these people that are going through this tropical storm. i am kinda amazed by how this tropical storm can easily turn into a hurricane and how it can also cause landfall between the port of Veracruz and the oil hub of Poza Rica. i am kinda also amazed at how many peoples homes are being destroyed and how many people have been killed in the flooding.
